Raglan Cider Mill was formed by proprietors James and Sally Perks in 2006. We were delighted when RCM won the ‘Best Newcomer’ award in the Welsh Cider Championships in 2007 and we have been consistent winners of awards ever since. In 2011 we won 1st prize in the Hereford Museum international Competition with our Dry Cider and we won a Gold Medal and reserve Champion in the Welsh Championships with our Barn Owl dry perry.
Our ethos in making Welsh cider and perry is to aim for the highest quality at all stages of the production process and to use traditional methods wherever possible. Most of our fruit is hand-picked and the juice is fermented and matured in traditional oak barrels. If you would like to learn more about the art of cider-making do contact us and we would be delighted to show you around our premises.
Raglan Cider Mill is also home to a unique Museum orchard containing samples of all the traditional varieties of Welsh cider apple and perry pear.
